About Us
Tieval was formed in England in 2013 by James and Dawn Boaden, who between them have over 55 years of experience in the NDT industry. The company was established to supply aero-engine inspection equipment, as well as offer technical support services and spares for more than thirty ultrasonic fan blade scanners located on four continents.
Since then, Tieval engineers have used their expertise to support and maintain a diverse range of systems designed for inspection of metallic and composite components. Our accumulated experience enables us to provide consultancy and training to design specialist solutions for any requirement.
Our Research and Development engineers are focussed on the future, ensuring that continued advancement of our hardware and software remains at the forefront of what we do.

Tieval uses quality management system tools such as PEST and SWAT analysis, FMEA, QFD, 5S and lean methodologies. These tools and methods keep us both relevant, up to date and competitive in a constantly changing economic climate.
Every system built by Tieval is designed and built to both CE and UKCA regulatory requirements.
We are BSI ISO 9001:2015 registered for the following scopes:
- The design, development, and manufacture of ultrasonic inspection machines.
- The provision of a technical support service for ultrasonic inspection systems.
